The Dozen-Or-So Days Of Christmas 2 - Santa's Magic Village

This is my personal favorite Christmas video - SO BIZARRE! This was done in the early 60's and is completely sincere - not sarcastic, not campy-on-purpose, just perfectly *weird* in a way that things can't be weird any more because we're all too self-aware. Santa and Merlin and Puss-N-Boots and a Ferocious Wolf battle an unseen Ogre in an amusement park devoted to Santa Claus but the Easter Bunny lives there as well as some sort of indentured servant.

Y'know, like it says in The Bible!

I was going to say I was speechless, but then the film STOPS. And not at the END. AGH! Where is the rest?

Some of the music is downright creepy. And I think the princess is Cinderella, right? Because her coach looks like a pumpkin. I love this. Saving to my youtube account.

As you may have seen, Part 2 is where it gets REALLY GOOD - the epic off-screen battle between The Ogre and Merlin while everyone looks uncomfortably around and avoids making eye contact with each other? PRICELESS!

There's third part, kind of, that's more of a tie-in to K. Gordon Murray's 1959 "Santa Claus" (the one where he fights The Devil), but those are both videos for another day :)
