139 - I see a difference

I receive quite a bit of spam from both our American Political Parties, and I've noticed a difference that really bugs me.

REPUBLICAN: "We've got them on the run now! The Democrats are caving! Solidarity in numbers! We will show them they can't get away with this! Keep sending in those donations so we can end this once and for all"

DEMOCRAT: "We're screwed, and it's all because YOU didn't give us enough money! It's our worst National Nightmare and we have no one to blame but YOU! Why didn't you do more? If you step up and send us more NOW, we *might* be able to hold out for a while... are you really going to let them get away with this?

Neither of these tactics works for me, but I can see how they would.

However, Bernie Sanders? HE sends me emails that say "Hey I think we have a chance at this, could you maybe donate like five or ten bucks?"

I really like Bernie Sanders :) I really hope his Campaign Managers don't start bombarding me with hyperbolic emotion-spam.

When it comes right down to it, there really isn't much difference between the two parties. Both are filled with people who like to hear themselves talk, and get cranky when they don't get there own way.

Pity we don't do politics the Vulcan way: No one group gets everything they want, but every group gets SOMETHING that they wanted. The art of compromise is rapidly becoming an unknown one.
