155 - All My Future Selves

A sci-fi story(s) all set in the "Far Off Future" of 2015. It begins as a 1930'a Pulp Sci-Fi adventure featuring a stereotypical 1930's Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon type lead character, we'll call him Harvey Zapp. Using his space-computer, Harvey discovers that there's something wrong with the very fabric of reality.
Next chapter, a 1940's/1950's version of the same Harvey Zapp character, only with 1950's sensibilities - everything he does is a shining example of patriotism and citizenship for his youthful sidekicks as they fight crime and Communists together. Eventually he and his Squadron of Junior Zapp-Rangers discover that there's something wrong with the very fabric of reality - probably a communist plot.
Next chapter, Doctor Zapp is a Beat-Generation Mystiphisical "Space Man" who uses drugs and spiritualism to "travel the cosmos" in a very 1960's/1970's mind-expanding way. During one of his astral projections, he discovers that there's something wrong with the very fabric of reality... but what *is* reality, anyway?
Next chapter, Colonel Zapp of the Federation Zapp Patrol is sent to investigate Galactarian aggressions in the Contaminated Zone when he discovers something is wrong with the very fabric of reality.
Next, Agent Harvey Z of Z.A.P.P. (Zone Authorized Protocol Police) is a skeptical man working to change a corrupt government agency from within by exposing their secrets when he discovers the biggest conspiracy cover-up of them all - that there's something wrong with the very fabric of reality.
Next, a lone rebel from an apocalyptic wasteland known only as "Zapp" is dragged into a war we never wanted any part of, a war where he finds out that there is something wrong with the very fabric of reality.
And finally, Harvey Sapperstein, an IT guy from Seattle who just discovered an app on his smartphone that's called "Something's Wrong With The Very Fabric Of Reality.
All these characters that are the same character, doing the same story set in the same year, all told from their own different eras POV of what "The Future" was going to look like. In the end, they have to team up with each other to save the very fabric of reality from unravelling.
