224 - Resolution IV: Financial
Dec. 31st, 2015 11:09 amThese Financial Resolutions barely have anything to do with actual *money*, but end up having a great effect on our Bottom Line :)
- EATING OUT - This one has become a tradition of sorts, to see just how long we can go without paying to eat at a restaurant or fast food joint - I say PAYING TO EAT there because we had a problem one year where fast food was purchased for us, so my rule for this year is that free meals of any kind (this includes gift cards) do not count. Our record so far was 2 months and 17 days.
- HOME COOKED MEALS - Firmly connected to the No Eating Out resolution is the Home Cooked Meals resolution - Fresh, healthy meals for my family every night of the week, leftovers on weekends!
- SET UP AN ETSY SHOP - I have a TON of vintage books and magazines that I would love to get rid of, and thanks to connections I've made over the past year with other local vendors I've been inspired to re-open my Etsy Shop. The goal is an average of five new items in my shop each week!
- TEN BUCKS A WEEK - By hook or by crook, I plan to stash away ten dollars each and every week this year, preferably on Mondays. I'm giving myself two "By Weeks" as a buffer as well, because I remember how I have a life and everything. When all is said and done, I should have $500 saved up!
- FOUR SHOWS - I want to be a vendor at four different shows this year two in the summer, two in the winter. Lake City Toy Show, Oddmall Everett, and two other shows that are wide open (probably stuff up North with my Mom).
