I have just encountered a company that:

(1) Will not tell me what their full product line is until I agree to buy $425 worth of it.

(2) Seems to think I am running a "scam" to cheat them out of a $3 catalog of their products.

(3) Feels that the best way to deal with potential new customers is to use liberal amounts of sarcasm and insults.

Worst of all, they are the only place to get what I need... they are the only Comics Distributor in the US :(

The only one huh? No wonder customer service is not part of their company. Maybe you should just skip the comic store and become a distributor! There is WAY more money and oh, what a pleasant revenge!

Wish I could, but Diamond already has a stranglehold on the industry... *EXCLUSIVE* distribution contracts with the big three... Marvel, DC, and Image. So if you want a comic book that no one has ever heard of, you can get it through a different distributor... but if you actually want to make *money*, you have to go through Diamond.

It's a monopoly.

I have to assume you are talking about Diamond, since I know they are the only distributor in this area, at least.

In all the years I've been buying comics, I've heard nothing but how big of an ass they are, and can be, because of their whole Image/Marvel/DC (or whatever it is) castle. Sorry you have to deal with them, but I don't think they're going to get any better. :(

I *know* they're not going to get any better... this totaly SUCKS! But on the plus side, I can be an ass towards them and get the excat same quality of service as if I were being *nice*!

I've considered extreme violence as the ultimate sollution for my problem, but I don't have time for the whole Steven Segall/Jean Claude VanDam "I'm a peaceful man, I refuse to use violence" set-up for it. I mean, in the *movies* that can take up to 20 minutes to geth through before you get tot he violence! Whyo has that kind of time?
