136 - "The Talk" I am least looking forward to

As I was driving around by myself today listening to an oldies station (80's and 90's = "Oldies" - uhg), I realized that some day - some day SOON - Molly will demand that I explain to her how my generation thought we were such Dangerous, Bad-Ass Hooligan Rebels because we listened to such "Heavy Metal Rock N Roll" as Van Halen, Warrant, Bon Jovi, Winger, Kiss and the likes.

I need to watch the old Tipper Gore censorship hearings again, figure out just want she thought was so dangerous about that music. Did she fear that we would hear them as instructions, and potentially get a concussion from banging our heads because metal health will drive you mad? Did she fear the day/night reversal somebody may experience due to rocking and rolling all night (and partying ev-er-ee day)? Increased instances of heart and lung disease due to the implicit endorsement of smoking in the boys room???

I am sure that i will not have the answers that Molly is seeking when she asks this :(
