At Subway, I made $300 per month, we spent $20 more on gas every two weeks, and i hated every moment of it.
Selling stuff on Ebay, I made between $350 and $800 per month. We spent less money on gas, and I bitched much much less than I do now.
Other bad things about working the Subway Sandwich circuit:
So tomorrow is my last day of working in that Hell Hole (Note: I just got done typing a list of about 20 negative descriptive words for Subway, but in the end decided that 'Hell Hole' summed it up rather nicely). I plan to go out with class. i plan to be the best employee that i can be. Adn then I just might head out to the parkinglot and key the owners Doomcock.

-I smell of sandwich, all the time.
-I work around succulent, fresh-baked bread (I'm on the Atkins diet)
-My boss is a skinny, balding, short man who drives a HUGE, BLACK, JACKED-UP Pickup Truck that I assume he has named something like "Doomcock".
-I get reminded several times a day that I need to say "Would you LIKE to make that a meal with chicps and a drink" instead of asking "Do you WANT to make that a meal by adding chips and a drink".
-I had to PAY for my polyester uniform, and I get to keep it. Oh joy.
-I never had time to update my LiveJournal.

Date: 2003-09-19 07:51 am (UTC)Or you could consign your stuff to an experienced seller like myself, who will take 20% of your profit plus all listing costs (listing costs usually come to about a dollar). I'd b more than happy to try and sell stuff for you, if you like... but you'd have to send the stuff to me first so I can inspect it and give a detailed description in the auction listing!
Stuff i sell is usually 80's and 90's toys. If it has a Care Bear, Alf, or an Ewok on it, I can get good money for it!
