Jun. 13th, 2003 10:44 amI'm assuming that I didn't get the job at the place I interviewed at last week. I'm going to drop in today anyways just to bu sure they hired someone else and didn't just lose my phone number.
But today I have an even BETTER interview; I'm going to try for a job at a local Antique Mall! If you've never been to one, it's a really nifty idea. One person rents out an old empty building, like a grocery store or abandoned K-Mart. Then they put up a bunch of flimsy walls, run a little bit of electrical wiring, and split it all up in to 10-foot "Booths". Rent the booths out to local people who have lots of Antiques/collectables to sell. Those people come in once a month to see what they've sold and collect their money! My job would be the sales end of it, where I actually ring stuff up, help people appraise their items, look out for shop lifters, and do general maintinence around the place. It sounds like lots of fun, kind of like a live-action "Buy It Now" Ebay!
