I'm assuming that I didn't get the job at the place I interviewed at last week. I'm going to drop in today anyways just to bu sure they hired someone else and didn't just lose my phone number.

But today I have an even BETTER interview; I'm going to try for a job at a local Antique Mall! If you've never been to one, it's a really nifty idea. One person rents out an old empty building, like a grocery store or abandoned K-Mart. Then they put up a bunch of flimsy walls, run a little bit of electrical wiring, and split it all up in to 10-foot "Booths". Rent the booths out to local people who have lots of Antiques/collectables to sell. Those people come in once a month to see what they've sold and collect their money! My job would be the sales end of it, where I actually ring stuff up, help people appraise their items, look out for shop lifters, and do general maintinence around the place. It sounds like lots of fun, kind of like a live-action "Buy It Now" Ebay!

WOW!

I've always been an unquestioning Micro-slave. Internet Explorer is the way to be for me. But I just downloaded the Opera Web Browser, and MAN! It's pretty darned QUICK! I thought there was a problem with my computer before, seems like it just the browser i was using! So... what are the drawbacks? Anyone?

Nervous...

Interview is in about an hour... I'm pretty nervous. I shaved off about 80% of my beard (leaving only a beard, no side burns or mustache), put on "The Outfit" (Blue suede button-up shirt, black slacks, and a vintage neck tie), and am ready to head out the door.

Sort of.

I'm all trembling and stuff! AAAAARGH! I mean, I *know* I'm not going to get this job. I just *know* it! I have very poor interview skills, I think... I try to come off as too personal, neglecting the professional side (thinking that the fact I am wearing a tie will make them know I'm professional).

Right now, I can't remember which comic book company it was... i think it was DC, since Neil Gaiman used the characters in Sandman... but one of the comics companies used to put out a horror comic by the name of "The Witching Hour". What made this title so cool (in my opinion) was the hosts of it. "Tales From The Crypt" had The Crysp Keeper, "House Of Myster" had Caine, and "The Witching Hour" had The Three Sisters. Loosely based on the witches from "MacBeth", these were three witchy-sisters who would each present a unique tale of terror. One was an old crone - she told sotries of long ago with classic vampires and other legends. Another was a Grandmotherly lady - mid-50's, plump, and immediately likeable. She would tell stories of modern romance with a horrific twist, like cheating lovers plotting to kill a spouse to inherrit money, but it all backfires horibly. Then there was the third sister, who was the "Hip" sister - Mid-20's, attractive, and very Mod (for this was in the 60's-70's). She would tell the classic sotries of monsters and romance, but with a modern twist.

My interview at the Antique Mall was done by those three sisters. I kid you not! The old crone, the grandmotherly woman, and the "mod" girl! It was down-right spooky!

Anyway, I'll know tomorrow if I got the job or not.
