Amusing Anecdotes from my weekend
Jan. 18th, 2004 08:29 pm(1) So Crystal and I went out on Saturday night to do some Karaoke with my co-workers. We ended up in sme dive called The White Elephant that stank of urine and despiration, but it was kinda fun! I nearly got up to sing a song, but chickened out at the last minute. The song? Kenny Rogers' "Coward Of The County". The irony didn't hit me till Sunday morning.
And speaking of Sunday, we went to see Tim Burton's "Big Fish" at the Mountlake 9 Cinema (my favorite movie house). Not a single one of the ads or reviews I read said "WARNING! If you are a big pussy, you WILL cry at the end of this movie". Crystal and I sat thre for the last 20 minutes of the film just bawling our eyes out. At first I was just trying to keep from tearing up, then I tried to keep from sniffling, then I tried to keep from letting tears stream down my cheeks... by the end, it was all I could do to avoid making whimpering sobbg noises!
Very good movie. Very, very good :)
