My Needs Vs. My Commitments

Sam Crowe has not contacted us regarding the money we owe him. Three-hunnert-and-some dollars, just sitting there in our bank account, waiting for him to get hold of us and tell us how he wants the money.

$300 sitting there, and us officially "broke" till Friday the 23rd.

...And "Big Fish" in my favorite theater right now.

...And a stack of comic books sitting in my Subscription Box at The Comic Stop.

...And Soprano's Pizza in Ballard offering a new crustless pizza called "The Atkins Adict".

...And an entire expansion of Hero Clix that I've only bought one booster pack of.

It's going to be a long, hard weekend full of temptation and, ultimately, betrayal. But that's okay! We'll have enough money to pay off Sam *next weekend*, right? So it will be okay to BORROW funds from the money we put aside, right?

RIGHT???

What better way to pass the time between phone calls here at work than with the Friday Five?


1. What does it say in the signature line of your emails?
It's been "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.", innapropriately credited to ben Franklin (Aparently A LOT of people back then said stuff like that, and I've seen it credited to about 10 different historicaly important people). Been that ever since the day after 9/11

2. Did you have a senior quote in your high school yearbook? What was it? If you haven't graduated yet, what would you like your quote to be?
Our Year Books were very boring, no quotes or "Most Likely To"s. However, I'm sure I would have been "Most Likely To Be That Guy That No One Remembers At The Reunion 20 Years From Now".

3. If you had vanity plates on your car, what would they read? If you already have them, what do they say?
I always wanted a plate that says "NRK", the innitials that I put in all those 80's video games when I got the high score (sound it out, sounds like "Anarchy")

4. Have you received any gifts with messages engraved upon them? What did the inscription say?
Got a leatherman all-in-one tool, engraved with my name

5. What would you like your epitaph to be?
"Dang it's hot down here!"
