Unix, Lynix, Red Hat... BAH!
Apr. 14th, 2005 11:30 amLast nigt I was given yet ANOTHER reson to hate people who are exclusively Unix/Lynix users.
And just to clarify, I'm not talking about "Oh yeah I have a Lynix box but I mostly end up using my Windows or OS X system" people. I'm talking about the hard-core, ass-hat wearing "I REFUSE TO GIVE MICROSOFT ANY MORE MONEY THAN I HAVE FOOLISHLY DONE IN THE PAST AND THEY OWN MAC NOW SO ANYONE WHO DOESN'T IMMEDIATELY SWITCH TO RED HAT RIGHT NOW IS AN IDIOT!!!" people. Like the guy I spoke with last night.
My last call of the night, I spent 45 minutes letting him use me as a combination of a Martial Arts training post and a plastic sex doll - he beat on me and raped me till I was deflated. 45 MINUTES full of wording like "Now I want you to know that I'm not mad at *you*, this isn't directed at you, but YOU SUCK! I HATE YOU!" And the thing is, I FOUND HIS PROBLEM!!! His cale modem (which he owned rather than leasing from us because he knows that's just a plot to get more money out of him) was dead and he'd have to get a new one. Of course, he refused to believe that. Why should it not work now, when it was working just yesterday? And he KNOWS there's no way that spilling just a little bit of Dr. Pepper on it isn't going to damage is. And I suck, because he hates me... but not me.
Anywho, the thing is that I have only encountered 5 Unix people over the course of my working for Comcast, and all five of them have been similarly evil. Therefore, I have decided to create a new stereotype ased upon my "5 out of 5" ratio here; All Unix/Lynix/Red Hat users are self-centered, egotistical, conceited, FOXNEWS-watching BASTARDS who are one rung below Lawyers in the evilutionary scale.
And best of all, no one can change my prejudice against them! If one tries to say that they're not all like that, it's because they're arrogant egotistical bastards who can't just let me hate them. And if they don't try to change my mind it's because they're self-centered snobs who don't care what others think!
