So I gotta start this post by saying "What are the odds?"
I'm not susually scheduled to work on Sundays, but I'm covering a shift for Unika so she can go to a wedding and I can pick up My Girls at the airport on Thursday. My shift today didn't start till 5pm, which gave me ample time to play video games and get happy before work.
My *second* call of the day was a nice lady who's been having chronic issues with her television and internet service. I helped her out and got her back on0line but had to send a tech out for the TV problem. And because I'm still in a good mood (which this job can destroy within mere moments), I was loading the call with as much of my natural charm and wit as possible.
End of the call, she says to me "Has anybody ever told you that you have a great voice?"
Ends up she's a Set Photographer/Journalist and has many "connections" in the field of Animation and Commercial voice-over, and she wants to introduce me to a few people who could get me in to "The Biz".
I'm fully aware that this might be a scam, but I'm still pretty excited! I've heard that breaking in to the Voice-Over biz is extremely hard to do unless you've got an "in" so I never persued it. But what if this lady is my "In"? Wouldn't that be COOL!!!
