So much funner than the LJ Friday Five

Five For Friday #80 -- Name Five Things You Own That Aren't Comics But Are Comics-Related
(1) Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman figural banks from Wal-Mart a few months back. These suckers are beautifully sculpted off of what appears to be a cross between a Neal Adams and a Jim Lee model sheet instead of the very popular (and sometimes gawd-awful) "Animated" style that we can't seem to get away from these days. About 8-inches tall, each one shows the respective hero from the waist up in an incredible "Don't mess with the JAY-ELL-AYE" pose of confidence and heroism.
(2) 1972 "Archies" Collector Glasses from the fine folks at Welches. Or Smuckers. Or somebody else who was adulterating fruit and selling off their jellified juices in jars back in the 70's. The main point is that I've got FOUR of these kick-ass juice glasses featuring Archie * The Gang in various poses of hillarity displayed prominantly on one of my walls, and it feels good! They were purchased for me by My Schmoopie at a garage sale last Summer.
(3) Vintage Bat-Mobile, Bat-Plane, Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk Model Kit reproductions from the fine folks at Polar Lights/Playing Mantis. These are exact perfect replicas of the same model kits Aurora Models used to put out in the 60's, right down to the vintage packaging! Only difference is the "Polar Lights" logo in place of the Auror logo on the box. Since discovering these I've also branched out in to the other vintage reproduction toys that Playing Mantis makes such as GI Joe and Captain Action; I love these things!
(4) Adam Hughes "Lady Death" original artwork from the last Emerald City Comic Con.
khristle waited in line to get that sketch for SOOOOO LONG, and then the guy who paid us to get the sketch ended up not even wanting it! So we got paid to own a piece of original Adam Hughes artwork - not too shabby!
(5) Marvel Comics Blankie that we found at Value Village one day. I have no idea where this came from, but it seems to be a full-size comforter with the 90's "Marvel Comics" logo all over one side and then tons of individual comic book logos (Incredible Hulk, Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, etc) on the other mixed with Marvel-brand sound effects ("Bamf!" "Snikt!" etc.) Not only is it the COOLEST blankeyt I have ever owned, it's also the comfiest! It's the one that all three of us can share while we sit in front of the TV watching movies :)
