Aaron Spelling, legendary television producer who brought us everything from Fantasy Island to Melrose Place, is dead.

But what really need to remember here, people, is that for every diamond like Charlies Angels or The Love Boat that Mr. Spelling put out, there were at least a fist-full of turds like B.A.D. Cats that he thought were gonna be sure-fire hits. Really, the ratio of hits-to-misses was pretty darned atrocious.

I'm not saying it's a good thing he's dead, heavens no! I'm just saying he's an average guy who kept flinging crap at the wall, and eventually some of it stuck there.

Woke up angry at [livejournal.com profile] khristle because she cast Fatespinner and it stuck with me all day long.

I couldn't do ANYTHING without giving something up. Couldn't go to the bathroom unless I skipped my Breakfast phase. Couldn't hold Molly unless I skipped my kiss Crystal phase. Couldn't get in the car unless I skipped my get-food-at-Jac-In-The-Box phase.

It sucked! But at least it reminded me that I need to add some sort of non-counterable spot remover to my Myr's-A-Poppin' deck, because she also uses a fistfull of Isocron Scepters that lock me down every time.

Any suggestions?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to come to this conclusion, but I just got done watching Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith (available all this month on HBO) so it's fresh in my mind.

Is it just me, or does it seem that the big moral of the "Prequel" Star Wars flicks is "It doesn't matter what you do 'cuz Evil is gonna always win in the end, Good will be scattered to the far corners of the universe, and your Mom/Girlfriend/wife/whoever you care about is gonna DIE and you won't be able to do A SINGLE THING about it!"

Quite a turnaround from the "Evil will be vanquished and we'll all dance in the forest with Teddy Bears" ending of the original trillogy, huh?
