One last day of AWESOME SPENDING
Jan. 10th, 2009 07:27 pmGoing back in to Ultra-Thrift Mode starting tomorrow; gonna see how long I can go without spending ANY MONEY. Like, on ANYTHING (other than utilities that is).
So of course today we went out and took advantage of some of the awesome clearance sales that are out there!
First stop was The Hallmark Store, which had all their ornaments at 75% Off; we picked up this year's Star Trek ornament, a Space Ghost and some Mickey Mouse ones for Molly's little tree. Retail price: $68, price after discount? $16.
Then off to The Disney Store where we picked up a few ornaments that had been marked down to 99-cents each!
Value Village and Saint Vincent DePaul netted spendings of about $20 each for tons of Ages-3-and-up board games and various other things.
TOMORROW: Day 1 of The Big Spending Freeze!
