SANCTIONARY!!!
Mar. 25th, 2009 09:49 amI'm looking to get registered in the RPGA so that I can become a sanctioned Dungeon Master, but it looks like th eonly way to get registered is to actually go to a sanctioned event.
LAAAAAME!
I'd really like to get my younger Nieces (Haley and Hannah) registered a swell, but getting them to go to a Sanctioned Gaming Event would prove to be... cumbersome? Sure, I'll use that.
I mean c'mon... I can't get them to go to a Comic Con with real-life celebrities and whatnot! What chance do i have of getting them to go to something like PAX?
I found exactly *ONE* D&D Event coming up in my local area in the next month, and it's this coming Saturday. I have no plans this weekend as far as I know, but I *am* extremely ill :(

This is why we do our Homework
Mar. 25th, 2009 12:15 pmSeems that the adventure i had planned for my first-level D&D players? More in line with characters between level 5 and 6.
SO! Working up a nice little batch of lower level encounters that will weave a tapestry of back-story in to my planned adventure. It's actually coming out quite well! I really like that D&D 4th Edition seems to be geared towards, for lack of a better term, "Episodic" adventures. Each game session should have a beginning, a middle and an End in mind that will help round-out and develop the characters within.

Where In the World Is Captain Slinky?
Mar. 25th, 2009 12:48 pmIf you plan on playing the ever popular "Where in The World Is Captain Slinky" game during the Emerald City Comic Con this year (April 4th and 5th), you're in luck! They just published the great big Programme Schedule of Events at http://www.emeraldcitycomicon.com/programming.php so I can plan on being where I plan to be at what times! Lots of nifty stuff going on this year, very few clashes of interest for me. Go look at the schedule... my itinerary will be behind ( the cut so you have to click to see it )
See you at The Convention!
