I've been seeing banners on Facebook for this Collectorz.com Comic Book Database for about a month now. I clicked the link a few times, checked it out... in short, it's just a point-n-click Database. Pretty pictures of all your comics and a way to keep track of what you have and don't have. No link to on-line marketplace, no up-to-the-minute pricing information, no running total of your collection's worth... just a big pretty list of all your comics, for $30.

...Or you can click on one of the TrialPay Offers and get it for *free*.

I've been that "Click on our sponsors to get a free iPod/XBox/Wii/iPhone" road before and have never had it actually work. Oh I've heard tales of people who knew people who got their free whatever, but never actually known a person first-hand who made the system work. But today I was jonesing for a way to inventory my comics, and I was feeling adventurous... let's just see what I'd have to do in order to get this free software.

Click on and complete one of 10 different offers. INSTANT verification.

Okay, let's see... I already have Netflix, don't want RealPlayer on my computer again... wait a minute here...

...These are all FREE TRIAL things! Let's try the Free Credit Report.com offer! Put in my info... look at my credit score... OOH! I have new mail!

"Thank you for your recent order with Collectorz.com! Here are your download instructions, here's your product key" AWESOME!

Cancel the Free Credit Report thingee right now, called them to confirm that I WILL NOT be charged AT ALL...

NICE! Now I need to get this house clean so I can start inventory!

The weekend is a total wash; it can all be blamed on a hidden $20. I *thOught* I was completely broke after ECCC this year, but there I was on Friday afternoon finding a folded-up twenty behind my AAA card. I had forgotten that I hid it there from myself to ensure that I would have money to spend at the end of the convention!

FINANCIAL: Spent $5 on Espresso at Neptune Coffee and $8.47 at Jack In The Box that same night. Sunday spent $5.62 on Ketchup, Mustard and Crackers. $20.42 OVER my budget of $20 per month. FAIL.

CLEANLINESS: Skipped friday, 5 minutes on Saturday and a ton of cleaning on Sunday (didn't keep track).

HEALTH: Nope, nope and nope. 1,146.11 miles to DISNEYLAND!!!
