Yes, I *have* decided to center my writing around Molly's Doctor Who experiences. Jealous?

In case you didn't know, Molly is my four-year-old daughter who LOVES Doctor Who. I make sure to preview every episode so I can "soften the blow" of any scary parts. So far there have been NO nightmares, no freak-outs and she even loves the Daleks like they were her best friends :)

So last night was her first taste of the NEW Matt Smith Doctor Who. She seemed a little agitated, a little angry, and asked for "The REAL Doctor" a few times. And she was VERY perturbed by how long they drug-out the new TARDIS reveal. "I WANT TO GO INSIDE!"

At the end we thought things looked pretty bleak for the new Doctor, having to console Molly by telling her that we can still watch The Old Doctor any time she wants.

But this morning she was asking t watch The New Doctor again! Apparently she had a dream last night about having to find the TARDIS, and the NEW Doctor helped her look for it. So now we're watching again and she's really in to it! Need to get a smokin' new wireless card for the TV-Computer so we can watch the next episode stream live from the UK on Saturday morning :)

Plans to go t the gym today were thwarted by stupid Verizon work crew digging up our cul de sac and blocking our driveway with many large trucks, all so they can install FIOS which, and I've checked with all the neighbors here, nobody wants or needs. That's just one of the many advantages to living in a community full of "mature" home owners; The Cable Company knows to keep stuff in this neighborhood working DARNED good or face the wrath of a million-and-one annoyed phone calls! In the year-and-a-half that we've lived here, the internet went down *once*. And THAT was in the middle of a snow storm, and it was restored within like 10 minutes :)

Also, most people in this neighborhood have had the exact same experience; they HAD cable, switched to a Dish only because it looked cheaper, got REALLY pissed when The Dish jacked-up the price for the second-half of the contract, then spent several months wishing they had never switched. As an ex-cable employee, these types of stories just tickle me :)

Those of you who knew me Back In The Day may remember that I had developed a pretty distinct "Look" for myself - knee-length Cargo shorty-pants, giant Hawaiian shirt, tube socks, tennis shoes.

EVERY. FLIPPIN'. DAY.

It was comfortable, it was how I wanted to look, it was a distinctive uniform that let people know I was there (I heard bigwigs at Comcast give directions based on my location - "Go about three cubes past The Banana-Shirt Guy").

But in the past few years or so, I've changed. Blame the phenomenal weight loss and the fact that I can buy clothes at main-stream discount chains like WalMart and Target.

My *new* uniform is a Geek Shirt, blue jeans, black leather belt with a big shiny silver buckle, tube socks, High-Top sneakers and a zip-up Hoodie.

Just like the Hawaiian shirts of yesteryear, I now wear these outfit EVERY FLIPPIN' DAY. And I kinda like it :)

A few days back-log here...

FINANCIAL: Spent $6.05 on TWENTY POUNDS OF PINTO BEANS and some Cottage Cheese, $9.86 on Spinach, Carrots and Bananas. 63-cents left in the budget for the entire month, plus $20 Fruit-N-Veggie Buffer so I *could* juggle things around and still have another $10 to spend on non-fruitsnveggies by shifting the money spent on veggies to the veggie budhet. But I'm gonna try and avoid that...

CLEANLINESS: Full hour, livingroom/vacuum /dishes

HEALTH: 2.34 miles (Treadmill), 1,132.69 miles to DISNEYLAND!!!
