This was just about the most PACKED Birthday I've ever had!

Started on Friday with a trip up to Mount Vernon to drop Molly off for a night with Grammy & Grampy. Molly and I had an EXCELLENT ride up there singing and joking and just having a great Daddy/Daughter trip :) When we got there my Mom gave me my Birthday Present a day early (cash) and I happily went on my way, trying to rush back to Woodinville in time for a 3:15 showing of Iron Man II.

Made it to Woodinville with an HOUR to spare. Since I couldn't pick up Crystal till 3, i wasted time TARGET, buying myself two new Clearance Price Nerd Shirts (Vintage Kirby "Captain America & Friends" and "Richie Rich") and bumped in to my old Swapmeet buddy, Gary. We nerded for a little while looking at all the Super Hero toys then I rushed off to pick up my Schmoopie so we could see The Movie.

Iron Man II was *AWESOME*, in the same way that Spider-Man 2 was. More talking, more complex, bigger/badder action sequences. And my buddy STAN LEE as Larry King :)

Movie got over just in time for us to get in the car and fight traffic in to Down-Town Seattle for W00TSTOCK! It was indescribable. Closest I can come to explaining it for the non-Geek would be that it's a Nerd version of Cirque du Soliel. Only instead of fruity guys in spandex jumping around, it's a bunch of Nerds singing songs and reading stuff and video and celebrating nerdosity. Wil Wheaton, Adam Savage, Paul & Storm... just go to YouTube and search for "W00tstock Seattle" and you'll see a bazillion videos from it I'm sure :)

Bought a W00tstock T-Shirt and MC Frontalot's new CD at the show. We haven't stopped listening to that CD since we got it! Highlight tracks that we can't get out of our heads (if'n you want to know) are "Zero Day", "Your Friend Wil", "First World Problem" and "Disaster". AAAAARGH NOW "DISASTER" IS STUCK IN MY HEAD AGAIN!!!

In the morning, we went and got my Free Grand Slam Breakfast at Denny's. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Then it was off to The Goodwill Outlet Store where I got THE BEST THING EVER! Mint condition 1960's Magnavox console stereo (future post will give details) for only THREE BUCKS! I am in heaven :)

On the way up to Mount Vernon to get Molly, we stopped at a 7-11 where i got an AWESOME figural cup of IRON MAN full of Hawaiian Punch! It's a slurpee cup that is shaped like IRON MAN! I get to drink from his SPINE!
