This week Weird Al released his latest masterpiece album, "Alpocalypse". I have an absolute LOVE for Weird Al that goes all the way back to my 13th birthday when I asked my sister to get me one of two different records as a gift; Aha "Scoundrel Days" (featuring the song "Take On Me") or Weird Al Yankovic's "In 3-D" (featuring "Eat It"). I've spent WAY too much time wondering how my life would have turned out had my first record been Aha instead of Weird Al... the path not taken...

So of course I have the album in hand and I'm loving it and all even though I'm old enough now that I don't recognize ANY of the songs being parodied on this album, and I thought "Thank goodnes this is the day and age of The Internet where you can go and hear pretty much any song you want at any time!

So as a public service to all of us old coots who haven't listened to any new pop music since around 1998, here's a track-by-track listening guide for the entire album. These are the songs you should have at least heard *once* so you'll "get it". If you can't figure out how to get the videos to play, ask your kid to show you. They know how these computery-things work.
