Jul. 27th, 2012 11:06 pmAt the very least, I have been able to figure out why that Fantasy Painting I found at Goodwill Outlet looks so familiar - it's a a pretty good copy of Frank Frazetta's "Kane On The Golden Sea" from 1977, one of his most famous pieces of work.
So although this COULD have been Dave Arneson copying a famous artist, it's most likely one of the many companies that will offer to make a full-scale, painted copy of any piece of artwork for around $150. Make it just *sliiiightly* different, make sure to sign it with the new artist's name and VIOLA! INSTANT ORIGINAL ART THAT'S AN "HOMAGE" INSTEAD OF PAUPERISM!!!
Still, hey, it's an awesme piece of artwork and I'm sure that I can sell it for a pretty penny at the Bellingham Comic Con :)
