Once more with feeling!
Feb. 5th, 2013 06:55 pmCOMBINED DISTANCE: 3.33 Miles
DINNER: Chicken hind quarter, garlic mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered peas
Today was actually the second day of "Being Healthy" for us, since yesterday I gave up after about 15 minutes. By "Being Healthy", I mean that we're going to the gym for at least a half hour three times a week, and eat balanced meals that are low in Gluten, because Gluten is the current "Thing" that *just might* be the key to immortality. Oh I know that I swore by Atkins, Low-Carb, Oat Bran, South Beach, All Fruit, Vegetarian, Vegan, Paleo, Grapefruit, Caveman, Cabbage, "Stop The Insanity", Low-Fat, No-Fat, Lap Band, Pudding, Protein Shake and 8-Glasses-Of-Water-A-Day diets in the past, but THIS ONE IS THE REAL DEAL YO!
Actually, the gluten-avoiding is just a tool for me to try and accomplish the only proven weight loss program - Eat Right And Exercise More. Most every snack that is in my go-to snack pile is a Glutenous pile of Gluteny Gluten. Pasta, Bread and Crackers. They're not even the things I *want* to eat, they're just the things I eat when I'm bored. Whip-up a batch of mac-N-Cheese, make a sandwich, grab a box of Wheat Thins... I'm fairly certain that if I tell myself I can have literally ANYTHING but those three things as a snack, I'll realize I don't really want a snack while I'm trying to come up with some non-gluten snack to eat.
I'm keeping track of how many miles we travel on the various workout machines we use each night, in hopes that we can maybe some day virtually walk to Disneyland :)
