Sitting

Why does it have to be so hard to just SIT and STAY when it's exactly what you should be doing???

Ankle feels like 85% good-to-go this morning, but is still too swollen to fit in my shoe.

SO MANY THINGS I WANT/NEED TO GO AND DO!!!

And something about just sitting here instead of being able to just get up and go makes me super-unproductive. I could be searching for images! I could be refining rules! I could be updating communities! Or, alternately, I could be clicking the refresh button on Tumblr every 8 seconds just in case I missed something :(

Today, I will attempt to fix a computer for Molly. All that requires is a sit-down at the table with screwdriver and software :)

One of my greatest skills is being "The Straight Man". This is not in the traditional Abbot & Costello sense of the word, whre the Straight Man sets up the jokes for The Funny Guy, but in the sense that I am excellent at being the clean-and-sober "Babysitter" for when people get stoned.

I don't get stoned (never have, never will), but I have a friend who (and this sounds horribly cliche but I swear it's the truth) "Self Medicates" himself A LOT because of a crippling pain. Doctors told him he'd never walk again, but thanks to the effects of Marijuana he now walks pretty darned well with a cane.

He's very polite about it and always goes to the back corner of our yard to "medicate" whenever he visits. And of course when he comes back inside, he's full of those great Stoner Ideas that only come to people who are Under The Influence.

So *my* skill, the thing that *I* do for him, is I help him get those Stoner Ideas solidified in to legitimate, awesome concepts that make sense and/or are funny to people who AREN'T stoned. THIS is where I should be able to make money off this idea!

LATEST EXAMPLE: COOKIE DOUGH GRAVY.

How delicious does that sound??? At first thought you're all "EWWWW!!!" but then you've got to go "Well now wait a minute... tell me more..." It has the same appeal as the KFC Bowls, McGriddles, Chocolate Chip Pancake Sausage-On-A-Stick, Waffles & Fried Chicken, Deep Fried Twinkies... it FORCES you to go "Wait, what?" and "Well now I HAVE to try it!"

You can have a bowl/cup of Cookie Dough Gravy for $1.99, a "side" of it for 99-cents, or add it to any regular menu item for just 50-cents! These price-points are small enough that you'll be wanting to see what a Cookie Dough Gravy Chaluppa tastes like and well heck, for just 50 cents? Why not???
