Week three of working 12-hour shifts is finally catching up with me. Nightmares about helping people with their internet connections last night. And I also found out that on my new shift, my new Supervisor is what can only be described as the Anti-Brian (Lean, energetic, watchs nothing but Fox News Channel at work and has no idea why anybody would waste their time on television, games or comic books). I think findng that out was what really burst my bubble; I was REALLY hoping to get on to Jane's team. She chooses to focus more on the custmer SERVICE end of things rather than the stats and other numbers. And you need to take the day off? No problem! We'll figure it out when you get back, fill out the proper forms and whatnot (with most other Managers, it's "Well fill out a shift change request, make two copies, get my authorization, sign the Shift Exemption Form, wait for the Resource department to approve it, then check the scheduling agent for updates).

Ugh.

I probably could have taken this news if I had been working just my usual shift, but I had to go and be The Hero, taking on as much Overtime as leagally possible and now I'm all tired and grumpy and unprepared to face change right now. My one ray of hope is that when
