Most people know that I am a MASTER of innapropriate humor. And I'll admit that over the past week I have been tempted to post something unpopular like "Nobody ever takes the time to look at it from the Hurrican's point of view" and/or "Why is it that every always assumes it's the HURRICANE'S fault?"

But then I thought naaaaaaah, that's just poor taste. Even *I*, the man who writes about his bowel movements, wouldn't post stuff like that.

But then I heard people who were REALLY BELIEVING this stuff!

Stuff like "It's God's will" and "Those people deserved it because they lived in a modern day Sodom & Gamorah".

I just... I can't even wrap my head around people like that. I just can't.

As dotgirl pointed out, there are more churchgoers as a percentage of total population in New Orleans than anyplace else I can think of. I mean, sure nudity and liquor and sin on the weekends. But still! Lotsa Catholic high schools. *nodnod*

People have to justify everything somehow, but why the Deity can't they try to find something positive, like God is challenging me to expand my consciousness and push beyond my comfort zone and help people who are not like me, but linked to me by life.

Mother Goddess already made THAT point clear by infesting the place with 'gators and The French. Thn she topped it off with a heaping helping of nice, moist, this atmosphere. Why would she have waited THIS LONG to say "Oh yeah, and by the way... DEATH AND DESTRUCTION UPON ALL OF YOU!!!"
