I'm helping an Inn fix their internet connection, and they keep putting me on hold while they do the steps of the instructions I am giving them. And when they put me on hold, I am getting to listen to delightful bits of Muzak.

And in this Muzak? John Denver's "Country Road".

Of all the songs in the world, is there a mellower song in less need of the Muzak treatment than this song???

I want to meet the executive or executives that sat around that boardroom table listening to Country Road and said "Oh, it's nice... but a bit to 'edgy' for our needs... is there a way we could maybe tone it down a bit?"
