Got back from our trip to the Kingdom of the Mouse-King yesterday. We had such a good time there! We almost stayed for an extra day, but we were all feeling a bit less-than-optimal (I myself had bruised the bottoms of both my feet with all the walking around I did), so we just hit 6-flags on the way home instead so that Crystal could get her Coaster-Fix. Penny went on a bunch of coasters as well, proving once and for all the she truly is a better person than I (I stayed in the car and read comic books while the rest of our party was having large metalic structures toss them around. Even though Chris could prove to me beyond a doubt (through the use of physiscs and engineering know-how) that the coaster was structuraly sound, I just couldn't overcome my irrational fear of the nasty things. I managed to ride on Space Mountain when we first got to Mickey's place, but after screaming out for anyone and everyone like my mother and/or several dieties to make it all stop, I decided against trying any more of the "big boy" rides.

So then you probably don't want to hear about all the severed hands and accidental deaths that have occured on that ride? The greatest Space Mountain story is the person that went into cardiac arrest in the middle, was still breathing at least by the end, and alerted an employee- who intended to send their rocket onto a service ramp for an easier unload, but the person in launch position never got that message and sent them into the ride again!

Did you go on Haunted Mansion? There are real black widow spiders living in there!

They mean it when they say keep your arms inside the vehicle..

I've read most of the "Behind The Ears" type books about Disney, and I just don't really care. I mean, I can think of a gazillion ways to die that would be worse than Death by Disney. No, I just don't like the whole "Roller Coaster Experience", ya know? You could assure me 110% that there is absolutely no way I could possibly die on a ride, and I just wouldn't care.. it's the *ride* that terrifies me!
