Smallville (aka "Superman's Creek")

Because I am a comic book geek, I watched the series premiere of "Smallville" last night on the dubba-dubba-dubbaya BEE! Instead af reviewing it for you, i figured it would be better to list for you the top 5 GOOD, BAD, and UGLY things about the show:

THE GOOD

(1) Tom Welling (Clark Kent/Superboy)

(2) Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor)

(3) The town of Smallville ("Creamed Corn Capital of the World"!)

(4) The over-all tone ("What if Superboy grew up somewhere between Dawson's Creek and Twin Peaks?")

(5) This Chick (I have no idea who the character she plays is, but MAN! WHAT A HOTTIE!)

THE BAD

(1) Ambiguity (It seems like there was supposed to be more of a back-story, like how in the heck did Jonathan and Martha Kent convince everyone that they suddenly had a 3-year-old kid?)

(2) Time Line (According to the years and numbers they where mentioning in the episode, the main characters are around 15 to 16 years old. Come on! Look at those actors! They could MAYBE pass for 20!

(3) Theme Song (Was there one?)

(4) Time Slot (9pm, right after a touching drama/comedy called "Gillmore Girls". What are they thinking?!?! Oh, wait... these are the same people that brought us "Home Boys In Outer Space", aren't they?)

(5) Length (It really should have been a two-hour premiere so they could explain all the characters in a bit more detail)

THE UGLY

(1) Bo Duke is Superman's DAD! NO LIE!

(2) Pete Ross is BLACK! Normaly, this wouldn't be bothering... but the show is set in KANSAS, and we all know there are no black people in Kansas!

(3) Lex Luthor's Bald Head is just creepy... 20-something guys shouldn't be bald.

(4) Superboy's Mom is a HOTTIE! How wrong is that? She's supposed to be a kindly old woman!

(5) Lana Lang is brunette?!?!? No, no, no... she's supposed to be a red head! This is just wrong. Sick and wrong!
