The project in question is a DVD compilation of noting but the opening credits/theme songs from classic Saturday Morning Entertainments (and possible other programs) of the 70's and 80's. I'm also finding a few VERY early 90's properties that are squeeking their way in there as well. This projust is allowing me to use the "So Simple Even Brian Can Figure It Out" video editing software of Nero to rip episodes off the DVD and clip out just the part I want. So far, here's what I've got:
-ALF (Animated Series)
-Bobby's World
-Count Duckula
-Darkwing Duck
-Freakazoid
-Ghostbusters (Animated Series)
-Gobots
-Inhumanoids
-Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors
-M.A.S.K.
-Mr. T and The T-Force
-Shirt Tales
-Silverhawks
-Starblazers
-Tales From The Cryptkeeper (Animated Series)
-Vytor

And the ones I'll be ripping off of DVD's over the next few days:
-Land of The Lost
-C.O.P.S.
-Transformers
-GI Joe
-Jem
-Care Bears
-Rainbow Brite
-Superfriends (Season 1)
-Dungeons & Dragons

...And the ones that are slowly but surely trickling through on my Bit Torrent downloads:
-Ducktales
-Exo Squad
-Pirates of Dark Water
-Flintstones
-You Can't Do That On Television

Please feel free to reply with any/all series that you think I'm missing or NEED to have this be an ULTIMATE collection. I'll have at least a good 70 minutes of video to fill, and each theme only comes in at an average of 1 minute!

oh and hey, does this mean you can, like, make little 5 or 10 second video clips from any episode?

Yes, that is *exactly* what it means! They come out in .mp2 format ready for conversion on to a DVD.

Are you looking for some iddy-biddy video clips?

I don't actually know if these are Saturday morning cartoons (and honestly, I'm not good with dates, so maybe these aren't in the time frame you're thinking of), but:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Snorks
Pac-Man
Scooby?
Josie and the Pussycats
(Didn't the Jackson 5 also have some sort of cartoon?)
Fat Albert
Alvin and the Chipmunks
The Jetsons

Okay, seriously, that wasn't werking out too well for me.
How about you just use this:

All of your suggestions are excellent, thanks! Tryijng to avoid using any on-line databases though because it feels like cheating. I know, I know... getting help from my friends is just as bad, but at least it's a form of communication and interaction! That way I won't be just some crazy loner nerd who sat in a darkened room making all my nowhere plans for nobody!

have you listened to the cartoon remix done by new artists? It has remakes of songs like Spiderman's theme song, Gigantor, HR Puff N Stuff, Stop that Pigeon, Hong Kong Phooey, etc. I have it on my XBOX and can race to those songs. :)

Yes, the "Saturday Morning's Greatest Hits" with The Ramones doing the Spider-Man Theme Song! Excellent CD! I also have the promo video somewhere featuring Drew Barrymore fromt hat period in her career just before she got married to Tom Green, when she was little miss wild-child hippie free-love slutty skank :)
