There's a 4-minute preview of the new weekly series Heroes at the NBC.com website.

AWESOME!!!

Nutshell version: Several normal people discover they have super powers of some sort or another. One has flight, one has invulneraility, one can see the future, etcettera and so-forth. But how did they get these powers? And why?

The preview looks like they're taking the action/suspense/mystery of "The Bourne Identity", stirring in one cup of Super Powers, then pouring it over a steaming platter full of "Lost"-style clues and false leads. Are they aliens? Are they magic? Are they part of some government experiment? Or is it just a great big cosmic coincidence.

My guess is that we won't even BEGIN to know what's up till we've got 3 seasons under our belt :)

Assuming you get 3 seasons.

I can't watch video here at werk because I haven't re-installed my sound drivers, so I can't speak to the preview... but last season there were way too many "wish we were Lost"-style shows that came out and were promptly cancelled. :(

Reading the promo text at the site makes it sound like a non-alien version of the 4400, though.

Could be interesting... depending on how they do it.

I hear ya... and I was a bit put-off by the descri9ptive text as well. Looked like another "Invasion". But the director seems to have done a better job on this one, adding in plenty of action instead of 52-minutes of eery music and people knowingly smiling at each other.

Like I said, has a very "Bourne Identity" feel in the trailer. I'm already hooked!
