Sometimes you've just gotta wonder what different made-up cartoon creatures taste like. I mean if you were *really* curious you could cook up a Great Dane to see what Scooby Doo would taste like, but what about...

SMURFS - I imagine that The Smurfs prepare and taste a lot like Cornish Game Hens, only with a tougher/stringier meat. Like half-way between Turkey and Venison. Serve with a nice Mushroom Rice Pilaff and cauliflower.

SNORKS - Snorks are one of the easiest cartoon-foods to prepare! Just chuck 'em in the deep frier clothes and all... the clothes are made of kelp and seaweed so they just help to form the light crispy coating! Eats like Popcorn Shrimp, but tastes more like lobster. Serve in a basket with fries and cole slaw.

WUZZLES - Even though each Wuzzle LOOKS like a different combination of animals (Rhino+Monkey, Bumblebee+Lion, etc...), they all slice up like they're made of solid Spam. No bones, no internal organs, just highly processed meat product. Some people would claim that they can taste the difference between a Elleroo and a Rhinokey, but they would be lieing. It's all the same. Serve fried over steamed white rice with a side of Asparragus.

MONCHICHI - Not much meat on a Monchichi, and what little meat you DO get off of one is gonna be mostly grissle and fat. Only good use for a Monchichi is as decoration for setting the mood. Positiion two of them hugging eachother then hollow out the skull, serve full of a fruity sorbet.

EWOKS (Cartoon version) - Ewoks would be a staple of the Barbeque Cook-Off circuit, right up there with Baby-Back Ribs and Brisket. A slow-roasted Ewok in a chipotle-honey BBQ sauce will make your mouth water! The moistness of beef with the taste and tenderness of pork, and it's an extremely "sticky" meat. Serve it up just as is or possibly shredded on a bun, just be sure to have PLENTY of extra sauce!

CARE BEARS - I know that bears are real animals, but a CARE bear is special! Feels like a REALLY greasy cut of beef in your mouth, but tastes like cotton candy. The only animal I can think of that could be served as a main course or a desert! I'd serve it roasted with garlic, mint jelly on the side. Oh, and the side dishes would be escalloped potatoes and green beans.

Oh now come ON! Sure I say and do a lot of disturbing things, but what's so disturbing about wondering what different cartoon creatures would taste like? Can you honestly say you've never wanted to carve in to a Teddy Ruxping and see if he's make good sandwiches?

I do this type of post as a public service to those who are inquisitive, like me :)

It could really be a lot worse. Go back and find the post where he talks about which of the Disney princesses he wants to do and why. *nodnod*
