captain_slinkyThere are two people that have helped me me so much in getting over my Dad/Depression thing (I'm half-way there, I can feel it!)
CRYSTAL has been incredible just for knowing me and knowing when I need hugs and when I need to talk and just be listened to and just loving me right now when i need it most. She is right now frantically looking up alternatives for my Dad, via the internet. So far, it seems that the doctor at the VA Hospital was not a Doctor at all, but some sort of life-sized manequin, dressed as a Doctor, and stuffed with doggie poop. Sure, there are alternatives to living in constand body-wrenching pain, but it's just so much more fun to tell the patient that he has no hope!
And secondly, I owe a bit to PENNY, who was busy getting ready to leave for New Orleans, but took some time to cheer me up. She's practically family, and only *she* knows how the "Humor/Avoidance/Denial" thing works. Many jokes, funny comments, and a show of outrage helped keep me from just going to bed and staying there till I became one with the matress.
