That's a WHOLE LOTTA BATMANS!!!
Aug. 30th, 2006 09:33 pmSelling for a freind of a freind, a nice big box of Batman Trade paperbacks and the likes.
The thing that has suprised me the most about this collection I am selling is that the second-printing edition of Batman: The Killing Joke is selling for MORE than what a brand-new copy would sell for in the stores. Nearly twice as much, actually.
This is the first time I've ever seen a second-printing of ANYTHING have people paying lots and lots of money for it.
But the RARE stuff, like the Batman: Tales of The Demon which is a fairly rare collection detailing the relationship between Ras al Ghul (the big baddie from last summer's Batman Begins movie) sits there at a garagesale-worthy price.
You can never, EVER predict what the Ebay marketplace is gonna bear.

Date: 2006-08-31 09:28 pm (UTC)Still the price of The Killing Joke continues to climb. Aparently it's now out-of-print and even 7th and 8th printings sell in the $20 range. I'm ashamed that i was unaware of this :(
