This is mainly a heads-up to T-Roy (sorry dude, change of plans) and an open invitation to any and all friends who can make it to Everett on Friday night.

I may need to change plans this weekend! It's one of the last weekends that they're gonna have the Drive-In open, and they're showing a double-feature of Bullitt (1968 Steve McQueen... quite possibly the manliest movie ever made!) and American Graffiti (1973 George Lucas movie about Han Solo, Opie and Shirley (sans Laverne) graduating high school in the 50's!)

That's two CLASSIC movies for $8 a head! And the best part of going to the Drive-In rather than a regular theater is that you can bring your own food and drink whatever you want to drink!

I plan on getting in line no later than 6pm. I will have a garbage bag of popcorn, 4 liters of diet cola and maybe a BBQ'ed chicken with me.

I'd love to see a few friendly faces there! Come on down!

Saturday night is the last night of the season for them... maybe I'll do that?

I'll check with my wife at lunch. Although if more people want to go friday, don't worry about me. :)

Well, so far, an out of town relative of my wife's has flown in and is staying just over the mountains, so we may do that, but if my paycheck is not enough, we will be staying here, so we won't know until payday. I made the mistake of taking fmla to go help my wife, the day before the holiday, and since I had no paid time off it was unpaid, and since I had unpaid time just before the holiday, they aren't gonna pay me anything for the holiday at all... That's gotta be somehow wrong. It used to be they would front you the holiday time up front, and if you used it you had to work the holiday. Now I don't get something everyone else gets, even though it says in my job description that I get so many holidays off per year, because my wife is disabled and I need to be there for her sometimes, because the state won't give her any help or money because I make an income, if I quit, we could live off the state and have everything paid for. How smart is that? But I'm not bitter or anything. :)
