I did somethng tonight; not sure what I did. But I'm in pain. Like "Don't-Tell-Crystlas-How-Much-Pain-Or-She'l-Freak-Out" PAIN! I think I just went a bit too far today in doing things and stuff, MOST of it was play-time with Molly that I refuse to regret! She said PILLOW today while fetching her favorite pillow for me! It was so CUUUUTE!!!

Plus, I *need* to get in shape for This Weekend! The Convention! Miles and miles of walking the aisles looking for the bestest deals and the fullest quarter-bins! I should also rememer to post for everyody the SECRETS of getting good deals at comic book conventions! I used to be and still am if need be) THE MASTER of the $20 convention! You give me $20 and I'll come out with 2 shopping bags FULL of comic books, toys, posters, games and memerobelia!

My goal this year is to get as much of the Giffen/DeMatties/Maguire run of Justice League from the 80's as I possily can. By far this was the FINEST comics series ever printed! Secondary goals include Captain Carrot, Deadworld, Groo and Disneyland comics. My budget this year is $100.

Anybody interested in "Hooking Up" during the convention should download and listen to the Podcas that I will be posting in the next few days/hours. Cross-posting to a few different communities.

I just got back from the Steel City Con, only my 2nd con ever. I couldn't believe some of the deals. It's like prices were at complete extreme ends either $150 for one thing or 5 for $10. The best was at the end of the show, Day 1 when dealers were just trying to pack up. My hubby got 5 action figures for $10 and in them was the great classic green/yellow Rogue that matches my costume! Not worth nothing really but I loves it. He got some sweet deals on first runs of Batman that I'm not even allowed to touch. He got the TPB just so I can read them.

I HEART the last two hours of the last day of any convention... having had tables at conventions myself "Back In The Day", I know that terrible "I don't really want to lug al this crap back to the shop with me" panic that sets in at about 1 in the afternoon :)

As a patron, I find it harder and harder every year to hold off my purchases to the end! Missed out on a couple of really sweet items by waiting to long, but I've also ended up paying way too much money by buying to eraly.

OH FICKLE DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD OF CONSUMERISM, HOW YOU DOTH VEX MEEE!!!!
