Hey, remember that time when Mathew was unemployed and I tried to help him out by lettign him be my "Partner" on Ebay, only he didn't actually do his part and never shipped out stuff that we got paid for and my Ebay account got suspended and I ended up having to create an entirely new Seller Account? Well Ebay's NEW software and policies have linked that OLD account to my NEW account, and have suspended my NEW account that I've been building up good feedback on for the past 8 years. As of yet I have not found a way to legitimately get back on Ebay, but I've only been working on it for a WEEK. As it stands right now, it looks like my days of Eaying are officially OVER :(

Hey there, you know there are other places to sell and buy apart from eBay why not try visiting www.pheebay.com where you'll find a range of auction sites and sellers gather to exchange news and organise promotions.

Well, I don't remember that time. :) But, how did they manage to link it? Was it the same email account or something?

They must have some sort of policy to get your account back, because I've seen suspended accounts come back before.

I honestly have no idea how they linked the two accounts. Different e-mail, different address, different computer, different NAMES on the accounts... only similarity between the two was the last name of "Pierce".

As far as I have found there is no appeals system. Once your account has been suspended (as of February this year apparently) it's just GONE. And you can't get back on, I've been trying :( They require a Credit Card in order to seel, and I don't have the time or inclination to go ahead and set-up a fake ID in order to get a different credit card right now :(

Well, I looked into this some more for you. I talked to a friend I know and she wasn't familiar with any such linking updates in the software. She also said you should have received an email when they suspended your account, indicating why you were suspended. Is it possible you missed it or it was filtered to a spam folder? Regardless, you can still find out why/how you were suspended.

She gave me the following url for you; it has information for appealing your suspension with information regarding the different types of reasons for suspensions: http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/RegisterVerifyPSU.html

Hopefully this will help...Sounds like you have a little more reason to get this cleared up, so I tried to find out as much as I could from her.

you can get it back. My wife was suspended once when she went into the hospital and was unable to pay for things she bought on ebay and when she got out of the hospital she found she had been suspended due to negative feedback. She emailed them, and some claimed ignorance, some offered solid help, and she got some of the people who wrote negative feedback to write ebay and say they forgave her and she got her account back. So it does happen!

It *did* happen, but not since their new policies have been put in place. These ones are TOUGH!

Also, the BAD account was from back in '99, and I have no access to the old account in order to get hold of the people who had left negative feedback, even if they ARE reachable :(

Yeah, you can use mine too if you like. Nothing like having choices. ^_^ I may not have much feedback, but it's all positive! 'Course I'm sure Teegin's got more feedback & most or all if it positive as well.
