Found that the best way to get around Ebay's stupid banning of my account is to now just sell stuff for my Mother-In-Law under HER name. Considering that this money is kinda earmarked for trips to and from Ohio to visit her, I find it to be highly appropriate!

So, my NEW seller ID on Ebay is "gmahio".

And I have a TON of gaming-related items listed right now, which will segway in to toys and comic books as the week progresses.

So if you or someone you know needs cheap-ass D&D, Heroscape, Cards, etc... please swing 'em by my auctions!

I sold bogus video tapes to unsuspecting suckers who wou--- I mean, uhm... :P

I made a post about it a few weeks back. In a nut-shell...

Once Upon a Time I had a buddy who was severely depressed because he was unemployed. Since I had both a job AND a thriving business in the then-brand-new on-line auction marketplace, I made a deal with him; I would write-up the auctions, pack all the packages and supply all the product. All *he* had to do was take the packages to The Post Office for me once a week and in exchange I would split the profits with him 50/50.

He took the money but never shipped the packages.

Took me THREE MONTHS to iscover that this is what he was doing; he'd take the money and tak the packages from me, then he'd go spend all the money (including the shipping money) and just keep the packages in the trunk of his car and hope that he'd somehow be able to scrape togehter some money to pay for the shipping.

My pristine 100% positive feedback quickly fell below the allowable negative feedback percentage that Ebay allowed ad my account was suspended. But back in those days, it was very easy to just sign-up with a new e-mail address and start all over, which is exactly what I did; my NEW account had just over 1000 feedback with 98.8% positive when Ebay change their policies and started using a new software that allowed them to link old suspended accounts with their modern-day non-suspended counterparts. No appeal process, no way to make a new account, no gettig bak my hard work and sacrifice :(

After a bit of on-line reading, i found that most "Scammers" who get booted from Ebay will buy an account from someone else; an account that already has a ton of positive feedback on it. This is why you'll see a lot of "Too Good To Be True" deal on Ebay like 1-cent CD's and DVD's... it's an Account Farmer uilding up a good Ebay acount to sell off a a later date!

That route sounded a bit too shady for me, though. So when my Mother-In-Law offered to let me sell on HER account, I couldn't pass it up :)
