If this WORKS it'll be a nifty thingee that allows you and me to listen to a selection of 45 different songs i made a playlist out of! If it doesn't work, you'll probaly be forced to listen to my music for as long as this post stays on your Friends List :(

But the site this is through is really cool! You make your own playlist and don't have to listen to bullpoopy other songs that you don't wanna hear, all for free!

I'll never forget getting my copy of Apollo 18. It was 1992 and I was about to turn 16. My older sister had a friend named Jane who's brother was a roadie for TMBG and Jane was able to score a promo copy of the album. So Jane gave me a bootleg copy a bit before the album came out. Add to the walkman my parents gave me and I was a very happy 16 year old.

Apollo 18 was my... Third? Maybe my second or third TMG album. I had bought Lincoln *twice*, and I don't remember if "Flood" came out before or after Apollo 18. But I DO know for a fact that it was one of my first 5 CDs! Apollo 18, Monty Python Instant Record Collection, John Williams & The Philharmonic Orchestra, Twisted Sister: Stay Hungry and REO Speedwagon: The Hits.

I'l never forget that purchase :)

Apollo 18 was actuall my fifth TMBG album. In 1990 I came across a copy of FLOOD in my sisters' room. I fell for it right off with BIRDHOUSE IN YOUR SOUL. They also had the self-titled album and LINCOLN. Christmas of 1991 my sister Ginny got a copy of MISC. T

Still love the group to this day.

Looking at your first 5 CDs I would say that we have similar musical tastes.

BTW- what was the name of that group that did that song from your podcast that went, "They'll time your every breath..." Just curious. I dug the crap out of that song.

Ahh, I *LOVE* that song! it's y a band called "Great Big Sea" from Canada, and the title of the song is "The Chemical Worker's Song". They're a pretty good folk/native/gaelic band and I stumled accros that one while looking for an accapela version of some REM song an ex-girlfriend had played for me once. Don't remember which song it was, don't remember what album it was on. And so I search...

I'll try and put up a link for that song a bit later tonight so you can have it... might even get a Podcast cranked out tonight! Who knows?

Meanwhile, you should put together a playlist on that site so i can get a whif of your musical tastes!

Oh yeah, i had to search a i to find that info.. where was it?

AH HA! Okay, you go in to your profile and click on the playlist that you created. It'll bring up an editable list of all the songs on that playlist, and on the right-hand side one of the links is "Embed Playlist". Click there and you get the code!

Can hardly wait to hear your mix!

There's the entry for it. It was kind of a stream-of-consciousness contruction, what with combining Nirvana, Styx, Cathy Dennis, Michael Jackson, Guns'N'Roses, Kansas, Don McLean, Duran Duran, Counting Crows, and La Bouche on the same list...to name a few...
