How does captain_slinky celebrate the fact that he's still awake at two-inna-fricken-morning when he should have been asleep back at around 9 or so?

Why, with a little Sondheim-on-Sondheim action, of course!

(Seriously... Stephen Sondheim did a TV special some years ago where he taught students how to sing some of his songs. Imagine that! The dude who WROTE this wonderful, perfect music giving you "Tips" and "Pointers" about how you should be singing HIS songs! No more of that "What i really thing Sondheim was trying to convey here was that..." No no no! Now Stephen himself can tell you just how full of malarky you really are!)

I watched the Send in the Clowns episode a few months ago. I really like these things. I always had that little theater bug biting me behind my neck - not enough to draw blood, but enough to itch every now and again. Ah the glory days of high school.

Having Sondheim do this for your performance would have been something to tell the grandkids about.
