Super Glue is aparently NOT the answer?

So, uhn... when you're gluing a Pewter Mini together (like the type you use for Gaming that USED to be made of Lead)... what do you use to glue it together? I've been trying to use Super Glue ("Works Great On Metal" according to the package hyperbole) and it says it should have bonded within 15 seconds, but...

...Well, it's just not working out.

Suggestions? Hints? Tips? Insider secrets? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Also: Try low-gauge solder or, if you're not quite that adventurous, JB Weld.
Just a dab'll do ya.
Also: Helps if you abrade the contact points with a small file.

File it down a bit (to roughen the contact points) and super glue works. I find super glue gel sets a little faster, thus reducing the need to sit there holding the damn joint "just so".

There are metal nail files in my top desk drawer - go ahead and use a brand new on in the package.

Do not solder a miniature! You will regret it unless you have mad miniature conversion skills.

Super glue doesn't work. Crazy glue does for some minis and not others. Don't know why. I have glue made just for metal miniatures.

I also have this little can of stuff called zip kicker. It is an accelerate that you spray onto the glue. It dries instantly and creates a very strong bond. Combined with a carefully placed pin I can make your miniature very strong.

I'm happy to fix it.

Thanks for the offer! I got the Super Glue to work for me after I did a bit of scratching at the contact points. It's a very nice "Chick In Armor With Swords" figure from Privateeer press... some line called "Warmachine"? It's this figure... http://www.privateerpress.com/WARMACHINE/gallery/default.php?level=picture&id=366 and it looks SO MUCH BETTER un-painted than it does in that picture. For a little girl's first lead figure, I think it'll do nicely :)

Warmachine is a really good game. Sort of a steampunk battletech with magic. They have really good miniatures. Higher quality than a lot of other companies

I dunno about pewter but the strongest glue I have come across would be Gorilla glue http://www.gorillaglue.com/ Just be carefull you don't glue your toes together. Don't ask long story.
