RE: Snow
RE: Snow
It has come to my attention that you adults seem very fond of this "Snow" thing, or at the very least feel that I should some how be in love with it. Please allow me to be frank and completely up-front with you that I in fact DO NOT enjoy this "Snow", not one bit! I appreciate that this "Snow" is indeed very pretty; it's natural beauty does not escape me. However, I would like to point out that the prettiness of this situation can be appreciated every bit as much - nay, even more so - from my preferred observation point of The Bedroom Window! Not only does The Bedroom Window provide a warm and familiar setting for enjoying the beauty of The Snow, but it also provides an excellent opportunity for alternative entertainment (such as "Bedsheet Peek-A-Boo", "Airplane Rides" and "Jump On The Bed") once the novelty of Snow's majestic beauty wears off.
Please note that this does not mean I don't ever want to go out in the snow again! Quite the contrary! Once the snow is done snowing and everything is thuroughly covered in a few inches of white powdery cold stuff? I'm MORE than happy to go for a ride on my sled with you, or build a snow man, or make snow angels, or really any of a wide variety of things that you can do with a fully snowed area! But when you insist on taking me outside while the snow has only had an hour or so to do it's job, it makes me a little cranky
- The ground is wet and sludgy with very little of the snow "Sticking", resulting in the immediate cold-and-wetification of my pant legs
- The playground equipment and all my outdoor toys are too wet to play with but not covered in enough snow yet to obstruct them from my view so I don't care about them any more
- Gathering the snow that has accumulated on the car is fun the first time, then painfully cold on my wee little hands every other time I try
- Once a body part is wet and cold and out in the wet cold outdoors, it's impossible to warm it up again
In summation, Snow takes everything that I love about going outside and makes it bad. And hurty. So in the future, if we could please wait till *after* there's enough snow for you to pull me on a sled before we go out there it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You for your attention to this matter!
Sincerely,
Molly Leann, age 2
