Being forced to move

captain_slinkyCome December, they're raising the rent on our apartment by $70 per month! They have officially priced themselves out of our price range, and in to the range where we could afford to rent a HOUSE instead of an apartment!
And so we are looking. Anybody got connections in the greater Lynnwood/Bothell/Woodinville/Kirkland area? Juanita? Heck, Everett or Snohomish???
Found a few really cute places on Craigslist for under $900 a month (SAVING MONEY!), but we've got terrible credit. Great Renters History complete with excellent references (NEVER LATE)!
Found one place that looked kinda nifty, but they want a $100 non-refundable "Applications Fee" per adult, PLUS another non-refundable $40 per adult for the Credit Check! $280 just for them to tell us NO!
