The Good Old Days

Remember when comic books used to be about heroic people doing heroic stuff and taking the moral high-road even if it didn't make much sense because, well, they were the HEROES?
Man, I miss those days...
Thank goodness I can still pick up some 70+ YEARS of Heroic Comic Books for about 25-cents per issue instead of shelling out $4 an issue for moral ambiguity!
(SIDE NOTE: Today is the anniversary of the very last "New" super-hero comic book I bought - "Final Crisis #6")

* "No you don't"
"Yeah, Yeah! You see, we kill off Batman."
* "Like we did Superman?"
"Nothing like that, you see, he is really dead. But there is a twist. Batman will live on with his former junior sidekick in the cowl. Brilliant, right?"
* "You think so? Really?"
"It is so original no one will see it coming!"
* "Like they didn't see it coming when Bucky took over the shield and suit when Captain America was killed in a shockingly exactly the same way?"
"Pfft. Marvel hacks! This is so totally different than that! Batman won't be under arrest, he'll be in a helicopter! Do I have to spell the word original for you to understand how totally awesome this will be?! BrIIIlliant!"
