Bought a nice stack of records yesterday at cheap-cheap prices (less than a buck each) and in the stack is...

"Love Will Keep Us Together" By The Captain & Tenile.

For the longest time The Captain & Tenile have been little more than a running joke to me... the super-cheesy duo that brought you such hits as "Muskrat love" and "Love Will keep Us Together". But now that I've heard an entire album by them? I'm AMAZED at how beautiful their music was/is! Hauntingly beautiful like melancholy memories of my childhood.

I'm enjoying it MUCH more than I thouht I would, and even more than the "DANCE DANCE DANCE" Disco Compilation Album!

Oh Captain Slinky, Captain Slinky.........you are but proving that you are becoming your parents. That is the only explanation for your new appreciation of The Captain & Tenille.

And isn't it scary when you say something out loud and then have to look around because you would SWEAR that you hear your mothers/fathers voice? Only to realize that it was YOU??
