Financial Question
Mar. 8th, 2010 09:14 pmI should state for The Record that my $20 Monthly Food Budget includes any and all money that I would spend on Fast Food. Even if I just want to get a $1 Iced Tea at McDonalds, it comes out of that $20!
Which brings me to this cming weekend and the Emerald City Comic Con.
I have an amount of money which I have been able to scrimp and save which is my definitive budget for this convention. The cost of tickets, parking, autographs and merchandise all come from this one big budget.
So would it be okay for me to use that "Convention Budget" money for buying food while at the convention? Or should any money spent on food PERIOD be deducted from my $20 Monthly Food Budget?
When I mentioned to Crystal that I was going to spend Convention Budget Money on food at the convention (so I wouldn't have to carry a lunch around with me), she gave me a look that said "You're not even a full day in to this thing and you're already weaseling your way out of it", followed by a series of sarcastic "No, fine, yeah... whatever gets you through the night, the only person you're fooling is yourself" type comments.
So what do you think? Go ahead and buy lunch, or pack a lunch? I'm good with either really... buying food there gives me more space in my bag for *stuff*, packing a lunch gives me more MONEY for *stuff*. It's a win/win situation!
