captain_slinkyPointed out by my darling wife, who knew NOTHING about the Green Lantern story beyond "He's that green super-hero you like so much".
The mid-end credits "Shocker Stinger" where Sinestro, who up till this point had just been a counter-point spoil to Hal Jordan's Everyman-Hero, puts on the evil yellow Fear Ring...
Well DUH he's going to be a bad guy! His name is SINESTRO! "Oh I know my name SOUNDS like the word 'Sinister' in your language, but you have nothing to fear because that's just my nick-name. My REAL name is Badguy Von Evilsneaky".
I loved the movie for almost every reason that others seem to have hated it; it felt like a great cheesy 80's sci-fi movie :)

Date: 2011-06-21 05:30 am (UTC)It is impossible to present 50+ years of history in an hour and a half. I am somewhat disappointed that Oliver Queen didn't make an appearance. But there is always the next movie.
But hey, they DID get the classic green boxing glove in there. How cool is that!
