Long Weekend

captain_slinkySo my Dad is just fine. What started oput as a "Critically Life-Threatening Situation" got downgraded to "COULD HAVE BEEN a Critically Life-Threatening Situation had he njot gotten here in time". By the time we got there on Thursday afternoon, he was feeling great and wanting to just go home.
My sister, Jan, spent $700 on a last-minute plane ticket to get here. "I thought there would have been more, you know, hospital-and-waiting-room stuff. Not so much garage sales and Balderdash" was all she could say.
The garage sale was a disaster. No one thought to actually put an ad in the local paper, so the only people who showed up were the ones who happened to see our tiny sign and decide tot ake the chance on a garage sale on a very rainy Saturday morning.
And to sum it all up:
