In a perfect storm of good health, good weather and clear schedule, I started mowing the lawn for the first time this year!

At the point where I was *exactly* half-way done with the front yard, the lawn mower pooped-out and no amount of PG-13 swearing would revive it :(

The Internet says I probably need a new carburetor diaphragm gasket, which is only $4 HOORAY!

Now all I need to know is what a carburetor diaphragm gasket looks like.

And where a carburetor diaphragm gasket goes on a lawn mower.

And where I can buy a carburetor diaphragm gasket.

And will I need tools?

And will my hands get all icky?

ANd can I just get somebody else to do it for me.

there's a run-down old shop in bridgeport that's been there for decades upon decades, "Lewis Lawn Mower Repair." it is the only one of its kind, i think, in the state. they are the one business in that town that's doing well.

hope you have one like it, nearby?

Yeah we have one... but they said "Sure bring it on by, I'll have it fixed for you by August"!

I think if you want any real financial stability in this world, you can choose whatever dream-profession you like but you should also add "And I also run this little fix-it shop in my spare time".
