090 - Being Human
Apr. 8th, 2015 08:08 amYesterday, as an attempt to get over my "Funk" (the bad kind, not the uptown variety), I made a list of things that Humans do (a trick I picked up from a friend who may not have known I would apply his old technique to my own situations so thank you), and it WORKED. By simply having a list of stuff I should be doing (brush teeth, have breakfast, shower, get dressed, etc) I booted myself in to having a much better day and attitude that, with the exception of a few pockets of brief depression, let me get stuff done and... well, *be human*.
...Because I realize that when I'm depressed it's because I feel less-than-human.
Going to try it again today, see how it works for me :)

Date: 2015-04-08 04:16 pm (UTC)This simple command sheet ensures I never leave rhe bed. Another trick I have is to schedule some depression time into each day. Okay, at 3:00pm I can freak out for ten minutes. Knowing I have a schedules fall apart time lets me get on with things.
