151 - Trump Strawman

Here is a recreation of every conversation I've had with supporters of Donald Trump (aka "StormTrumpers") for President. Swear to Gawds, I've had this conversation 5 times now.k

SUPPORTER: I dunno, I think Trump's got a lot of good ideas!
ME: Really? Which ones?
SUPPORTER: Oh you know... Ideas... I guess what I really like is how he's not afraid to say what he's thinking"
ME: Really? Like what?
SUPPORTER: Oh you know... just... I just really like Trump!

None of them can tell me *why* they like Trump or *how* they think he would make a great leader, and it's really frustrating!

I think the reason so many people like Trump is that watching and listening to him is like seeing a trainwreck happen: you know it is going to be awful, but you just can't stop watching. That, and the fact that the guys he is opposing are politicians who have been in office for a long time, purport to be support changes in the way things are fun, yet haven't caused any real change to occur.

Trump is NOT someone that I support, but I'll admit he does have one heck of a business empire. Which is more than most of his opponents can say. Those that DO have money have either inherited it, or married it.

Frustrating, scary, and embarrassing - the way WE see StormTrumpers today, is the way the right-wing saw Nader supporters back in 2000. I voted for Nader, hugest regret ever :(
